Time off, and all non-student facing time whilst on campus.
You will sometimes work long, challenging and demanding days. We want you to enjoy your job, and in order to do that, we want to make sure you have enough time away from work too!
Each week your Coordinator will send you a rota outlining your shifts for the following week. You should get this 4 days before the start of each week.
___________________________
As a Campus Leader you will work six days per week, and your total hours will be around 43 per week. This means that you will get one full day off per week, and your typical day's shift will be around 7 hours long, and usually in the evenings. If you are not scheduled to work through the daytime, this time is also free time for you - however you'll still need to be in the canteen at mealtimes.

If you have any questions or issues with your scheduled work, you can speak to your Coordinator about it, or Centre Manager if required. If the problem persists, when your Programme Manager visits, you can speak to them about it too. We want you to be happy during your time at Language in Action, and we will always try to look after you the best we can.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner service times are not typically considered time off, and all team members must be made aware that during these times they cannot stop their work duties to take a break when scheduled on to work.
Food is provided; however, student supervision is still a requirement and a priority. Communication is key to this; if you end up missing lunch service because of an extended task, excursion or other workload, you should alert your manager and they will arrange for the catering team to put some food aside.

You will be given the opportunity to take short breaks during your shifts providing there is suitable cover for the students. This might be during mealtimes or whilst students are working on projects, watching movies or practicing their talent performance for example.
Language in action look to reward team members for their hard work throughout the summer programme. This may include social events outside of work hours. These social events (e.g. karaoke, family dinner etc.) are the perfect opportunity for everyone to let off a bit of steam, get things off their chest, enjoy their time in the summer programme and relax.

Every two weeks you will have the chance to relax at a staff party. You can find out more about that in your live video training.
Your manager might organise a family meal, that one of the team members can cook (you, if you think you're up to it!) and the whole team can sit and enjoy a nice meal.
At least once in the summer, the plan is to throw one big Language in Action Team party, where you will get to celebrate a great summer with all the other centres.
